'Something special required to stop Chelsea juggernaut'

Pat Nevin continues to be impressed at the manner in which the Blues go about their business, with opponents struggling to contain Antonio Conte's side
Chelsea have become a Premier League title-chasing “juggernaut” and opponents will need to produce “something special” to halt their surge, claims Pat Nevin.
The Blues have been in scintillating form of late, with maximum points taken from eight successive fixtures.
The goals have been flowing, while clean sheets have also been in plentiful supply.

There was to be no shutout in their most recent outing, but Antonio Conte’s side put down another serious marker to their rivals as they hit back from a goal down to beat Manchester City 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
Nevin sees no sign of weakness in the Chelsea side at present, with a winning formula posing countless problems to those charged with the task of derailing a charge for the top-flight crown.
"The real joy just now is that Chelsea seem to have forwards with the cleverness to break down packed defences but are also brilliant at breaking against pressing sides," he told the club's official website.

"It is a double whammy for opponents who are really finding it difficult to figure out how on earth they set up to beat us.
"No doubt Tony Pulis will try something special at the weekend with West Brom.
"But the way we are playing it will have to be extra special if it is going to stop the juggernaut that is the current Chelsea run.”

The Blues will be looking to make it nine wins in a row on Sunday when they welcome West Brom to Stamford Bridge.
Success in that fixture will ensure that they remain top of the Premier League pile, with a three-point lead opened up at the summit.
The rest of the division are playing catch-up at present, and Conte will be looking to keep the momentum building as his side round off the calendar year with further fixtures against Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Stoke.
