The former Liverpool midfielder thinks the England
international could swap White Hart Lane for Old Trafford in the future
as he compares the two strikers
Jamie Redknapp would pick Harry Kane over Zlatan Ibrahimovic without
question, but worryingly for Tottenham fans he can see the England man
being the Swede's replacement at Manchester United one day.
The former Liverpool midfielder believes Kane offers more as a
central striker than Ibrahimovic, and woud pick the Tottenham man ahead
of his opposite number at Old Trafford.
Kane's Spurs came up short against United at Old Trafford on Sunday,
but despite the 1-0 win for Ibrahimovic's side, Kane would still get the
nod ahead of him.
While that will be a welcome read for Spurs fans, what followed from
Redkanpp certainly will not, as he says he could see Kane following on
from Ibahimovic and playing up front for United in the future.
"I'd rather have him (Kane) in my team than Zlatan. It's not even a question," Redknapp told Sky Sports.
"He offers a lot more for his team. He is a player in a few years you
could see wearing a number nine shirt for United, or any other top
team."
Kane has signed a new long-term contract at Spurs, but many still believe that one day he will make the move to United.
